James ‘Jimmy’ Town has had enough of the hustle and bustle of city life and feels life is too short to be stressed and unhappy. He decides to step away from the bright lights of New York City and a career that could land him on the judicial branch with the help of his political family. Bagging the career and leaving behind his parents and girlfriend, Jimmy retreats to his roots at Black Bear Mountain in Salamanca, NY. Aspen Burkes had what most women her age dreamed of achieving. Once a top CNN traveling reporter and now the Director of Marketing at Devon Media, Inc., she is carefree and doesn’t need a man to take care of her. Well, on the outside, it appears that way. Aspen’s closet holds many skeletons that even her parents were not aware of. Her haunting past has turned her into a hermit and afraid to let anyone close to her. But that could change during a week-long retreat at Camp Black Bear. A vision and a proposition cause Jimmy to approach Aspen. He’s instantly attracted to the African-American city girl.
