Finding your mate is supposed to be the best thing to ever happen in a shifters life, but what does one do when they are trapped in their animal form when that wonderful day arrives? If anyone knows, it’s Ireland, otherwise known as Spike the porcupine. What sucks even more… finally becoming your human self and seconds later causing a plane to crash with you and your mate on board. Flyer has always worked alone. He doesn’t understand mates or shifters, and right now with the crash taking his sight, he doesn’t have time to think about it. He has to focus and trust in Ireland to be his eyes, guiding him through mountains and wilderness as they try to escape falling into enemy hands, and hoping they can make it out alive. Mates must stay together, work together, and be a team. Flyer sure hoped this was true, because their lives depended on it.
