Luke has always considered himself to be a good man. But after his wife, Sonica, leaves him to be with someone else, it leaves Luke pondering everything he knew about himself. As if that’s not bad enough she picks up and leaves only a few days before Christmas, leaving him and the kids. That puts him in the worst mood imaginable. Although his heart was broken, it doesn’t look so good in the financial department either. All that changes when he gets a new job, and despite his boss’s sexual advances, Luke knows to play smart, and things start looking up for him. But will he be able to balance his new love and be able to handle Sonica as well? Sonica is selfish and thinks very rarely about how all of this affects Luke and her children. After all, she doesn’t really care about anything other than her own desires. But after leaving Luke, Sonica is surprised to find that her new boo isn’t half the man she thought he was, and looking for an out, she tries to make amends with her estranged ex. But Luke isn’t going for it, and Sonica is desperate. She finds herself making the biggest mistake of her life in trying to get her husband back. Once the wound from Luke’s broken heart heals, the pain is still embedded, blocking hopes for love. Then reality strikes, and he realizes that with everything that has happened to him, love still desires a second chance. After Sonica separates from her family, thinking that she needed to be apart to find what she thought she was missing, she learns a valuable lesson. Though the grass may be greener on the other side, nobody’s grass will be green unless you water it, or it’s fake.
