Cameron Sands, or better known as Cam in the streets, had been by his father’s side running BCE for as long as he could remember. But after his mother passed and his father, Terry “Big Cali” Sands decided that it was time for him to finally step down, Cameron could only think of one person he wanted by his side and that was his little brother, Canan. Canan “School Boy” Sands grew up around his father’s empire but elected to keep his hands clean and stay out of the family business. However, now that his father was stepping down, both Cam and Big Cali had been urging Canan to step up and take his father’s place. Even though Canan had been around the business all his life, he never really saw himself being a part of it, but now that he just graduated from college and couldn’t figure out what was next, he finally gave in and stepped up to be by his brother’s side and run BCE. Family over everything, so when Cam said he needed his brother by his side, Canan knew what he had to do. Canan had been with his girl, Chelsey for two years, and even though everyone in his life knew that Chelsey was no good, Canan wasn’t trying to hear it, until he finally saw her true colors. Canan finally lets Chelsey go and falls for Avery, whose life is just as complicated. Being the daughter of an addict and having a father that died during a drug deal when she was a baby, has Avery hesitant about Canan’s decision to run BCE with Cam. Will Canan be able to convince Avery to give him a chance or will his decision to run BCE cause him to miss out on love. Meanwhile, Cameron has decided that he needed to find someone to settle down with. He was tired of one-night stands and wanted someone in his life to be there for him and help him raise his four-year-old son, CJ since CJ’s mother, Justine was more concerned with whom she could get in her bed versus taking care of her son. Cameron meets Lauren but is not interested in her, until he sees her at the mall one day with her boyfriend and jealousy kicks in, making him realize that he wanted more from Lauren than just friendship. Being on top is not as easy as it seems because Canan and Cam have to constantly watch their backs, especially when it comes to people wanting to see them fail. Cam and Canan have no idea what they’re about to face, but together the Sands brothers are ready for anything.

The Sands brothers took a major hit when Cane gets shot, and he wakes up in the hospital with a score to settle. The reality of running BCE with Cameron, finally hits Canan and he’s realizing that his life has drastically changed. Canan has to figure out how to find a balance in the streets and at home, which is going to take some getting used to. Chelsey just can’t get it through her head that Cane has moved on and is happy, so she tries everything within her power to figure out a way to end their happiness. She might be delusional, but as far as she’s concerned, she deserves a life with Canan, a life that Avery stole from her. So, she has her mind made up that she will not stop until Avery is out of the picture. That is until she realizes that there might be life after Canan, thanks to the chance at a new love. But will it be too late, since she has set something in motion to end Avery’s life that she didn’t even know she had a hand in? Avery is learning to deal with her new life with Canan and now that she’s pregnant, she’s quickly learning that she now has more to lose than she could have ever imagined. But, that doesn’t stop her from making a deadly mistake by allowing her past to resurface and cause problems with her and Canan. Cam and Lauren are finally figuring things out, but the second they start to fall into a happy life preparing for the birth of their daughter, Justine drops a bomb that is about to complicate things for both her and Cam. Justine needs Cam’s finical support and even though she doesn’t really care about their son, CJ, she has to use him to get what she wants. Chy and Menken are falling fast, while Menken is moving up the ranks fast with BCE. Chy has a secret of her own that she’s hiding from her family, while Menken has a personal secret that he’s hiding from Chy that could possible cause her to walk away and never look back. The Sands brothers are struggling to keep their personal lives together, while a new threat enters the picture. They are at risk of going to war, and with their growing families, they are both trying their best to hold it all together.

Avery is missing, and Tasha is having a mental break while Dezzy and Chelsey's lives are hanging on by a thread at the hand of Canan. Cameron is on lockdown because Justine couldn't leave well enough alone, while Lauren is struggling to make sense of the fact that Cameron has been taken away in handcuffs just hours after the birth of their daughter. Menken has to step up while Mic, Cameron and Canan are dealing with their life issues, just as his past catches up with him causing his life with Chy to quickly unravel. The Sands brothers are being pulled in every direction but the right one, and BCE is suffering because of it. To make matters worse, Marley has touched down and creating problems that need to be dealt with, causing Cali to have to make some tough choices about his son and the organization. Will the Sands come out on top or will their situations overpower and get the best of them?

Julius is feeling the pressure so he’s starting to play dirty. Nick is hopeful that he will get a second chance with Lauren but he has to get past Cameron first.Cali is torn as he takes a backseat, while he and Ron do as promised, and let Cameron and Canan handle the war their facing with Julius. Cali also struggles with the fact that Katherine is gone but life moves one. Like it or not he has to decide if he deserves a second chance at love.Menken steps up his role with the Sands family which puts his life in danger while also learning whether or not his personal life will be altered with a new edition. The truth may cause him to lose Chy in the process.Lauren is stuck right in the middle between the family she was born into verse the family she chose and it seriously complicates things, forcing her to make some tough decisions.All and all the Sands family have some serious complications that they are faced with and hopefully they will still be standing when the dust settles.
