M.L. Roos was born in Nijmegen, Holland and moved to Canada at an early age. Her love of horror began just as early with a vampire story written in grammar school and later on, a class assignment in law turned into a short story where an entire town disappeared street by street. M.L. Roos wrote for years without the intention of publishing because, as she tells it, 'if you don't submit anything, no one can tell you, you should be flipping burgers.' And then one day she hit the send button before she could talk herself out of it, submitted a story to a Canadian market and it sold. So did the next one and the one after that. Deciding to take this writing thing a little more seriously, M.L. Roos joined the Horror Writers Association and sold a few more pieces in the US. Horror will always be an element in her work, but horror with a twist, an element of surprise, an undercurrent of evil, and bits and pieces taken from real life because people are capable of the most horrific things.
