Who could be mad enough at Danny McCloskey to "help" him have three accidents while driving a big fuel oil truck? For Danny, New York was a place where he couldn't find an apartment, noticed a lot of funny business out of the corner of his eye, and pumped oil—until he met Jennifer and decided that somebody, maybe, was trying to kill him. Having nothing better to do one week than keep himself alive, he sets out on a madcap investigation with the help of Jennifer and two cops who couldn't find the French Connection if their radio car was parked under the Eiffel Tower.
