Part of Series

Midnightstar is losing her mind. Running from both her pack and her destiny, the she-wolf Midnightstar finds herself trapped within strange visions and new powers. Unsure of what her magic means, Midnightstar focuses instead on finding the Assembly of the Lands, the council that can stop the war between the unicorns and the wolves. Meanwhile, her older brother Shadowin and her sister Jade struggle to chase off the Ortusans, the werewolf-vampire hybrids who have taken the realm hostage, while her younger brother Snapfoot desperately attempts to keep the pack alive during a famine that consumes all. After a run-in with a mysterious Changer, Midnightstar discovers she is the last skygazer, a creature born to be the vessel between the realm of the living and the dead. Consumed by the haunting voices pulling her from the light to the dark, Midnightstar is lost to the pleas of her friends, and the love of the dragon determined to make her his. Will Midnightstar be able to summon the power of a skygazer? Or will the Lands fall to chaos and destruction? The fifth installment in the Creatures of the Lands series, readers will be swept away by a world of fairies, myth, swords and sorcery. Shifters, wolves, vampires and more make up this stunning young adult fantasy in Natalie Erin’s saga of friendship and adventure.

Natalie Erin is the pen name for the writing team of Megan Linski and Krisen Lison (also known as Krystyl Lisoh). They completed the first draft of Kiatana’s Journey in 2008 when they were freshmen in high school, and released the book online in their graduating year of 2011. After some revisions the girls decided that they would find representation for the novel, but this was disrupted by Miss Lison’s untimely death in 2013. She was 20 years old. One year after Lison’s passing Linski created her own company, Gryfyn Publishing, and released the updated version of Kiatana’s Journey as the company’s breakout novel on November 1st, 2014. Miss Linski is currently working on publishing the rest of the Creatures of the Lands series in Lison’s honor.
