Women are uniquely qualified to be purveyors of horror. Women bear witness not only to the once-in-a-lifetime supernatural events that shake us to our core, but also to the mundane, ever-present terror that exists in normal people and everyday life yet frequently goes unnoticed. These collected stories showcase the many ways women confront horrors of all kinds, often behaving in ways that are unbecoming to society, and displaying their knack for not doing what they’re told along the way. Kirsten is an elder emo who drinks too much coffee and reads way too many books at once. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's in Library and Information Science at the University of Southern Mississippi. Kirsten lives in East Tennessee with her kiddos, cats, and backyard chickens. You can find her short stories in Curbside Curses: The Yardsale Anthology, Final Passenger, Pretty Girls Make Graves: A Feminine Rage Anthology, and There's A Haint in That There Holler. She has poetry published in the poetry anthology, Sleeve of Hearts. Her first solo work, The Curse of Medusa, is a feminine rage reimagining of the classic Greek myth of Medusa. Rikki Goodwin lives in North Carolina, where she owns a tattoo and piercing studio with her husband. Since she scares people every day as a body piercer, she figures it's only natural to also be a horror author. She's constantly bringing home potentially haunted home decor, but so far there's no ghosts in the house, just two very bad dogs. Lovers' Leap is her debut novel.
