When a man receives a promotion and a raise, he finds himself forced to face an uncomfortable situation that he has avoided all his life: visiting a bank and opening a bank account. “My Financial Career” is representative of author Stephen Leacock’s writing style in which he pokes fun at social absurdities and irrational behaviour.
