Part of Series

He was trouble with a capital T. I shouldn’t want the boy next door, yet I couldn’t seem to resist him. Mara I had more than enough on my plate. School. My project for the art school scholarship contest. Living up to my parents' expectations seemed like a full-time job. I didn’t need any distractions. I certainly didn’t need to be worrying about my stupid next-door neighbor. If only he could keep himself out of trouble and dragging me down with him. Taggish New house. New neighbor. Same school. I’d known Mara for years. I just didn’t realize she was so uptight. The girl couldn’t take a joke. Okay, a prank. Either way, I hadn’t meant to upset her. Just yank her chain a little. And then I found her crying. I never meant to hurt her, and I never imagined I could fall for her. But I was pretty sure I’d done both. Now, I had to convince her to forgive me and maybe admit she liked me too.
