The gigantic war fleet sent from M-87 against the Andromeda Galaxy was defeated down to the last warship; there were no survivors. The victors celebrated the victory but worried that M-87 would be sending an even larger force the next time; everyone believed that the next attack would make the billion warships they just defeated look small in comparison. It took the combined efforts of the Milky Way and Andromeda’s Fleets to win against the unimaginable numbers that confronted them in the last invasion. Experts agreed that the next invasion would probably not be coming for ten years. With the fifty million lightyears between the galaxies, communications were delayed by years. That gave the two large galaxies time to prepare. The Union shared the blueprints on their most advanced warships with Andromeda and construction began immediately. The planets in the Milky Way were already working at maximum speed and it was hoped enough warships would be completed in time for the next confrontation. There was great concern that both galaxies would not be able to match the construction capability of the giant galaxy they were up against; it was twenty times larger than both of them combined. The leaders of both galaxies knew one thing for certain; no matter what happened, there was no going back. This story is written against a vast canvass and is reminiscent of the Annihilation Series. Sit back and watch as galaxies collide in interstellar war.
