The darkness is eternal; the vast expanse of unexplainable umbra swallows me whole. It’s how they always start. The nightmares that have haunted me for as long as I can remember—they don’t relent. They chase me into the shadows of sleep, and when I’m awake, a new kind of nightmare lives. I want nothing more than to run away from it all, but in a kingdom like Eathian, the nightmares lurk in every corner. When something I thought I would never feel sparks an ember of hope in my chest, I reconsider my path. I think I have a plan, but that same spark of hope also sparks doubt as I find that 𝘩𝘦 has another plan entirely. Not all nightmares are what they seem. Will the ember die of ash or burst aflame and burn everything in its wake?
