This type of drum is generally shallow and held in the hand, rather than on a stand. The head of the drum would be marked, indicating nine directions. Between nine and twenty-one seeds were dropped on the drumhead which would then be tapped with a specially prepared ritual hammer, causing the seeds to scatter on the surface. The answer to the question was determined by the relationship of the seeds to the directional indicators. You will learn how to make your own drum and do the divination.
