Life in the Hood is all good for nobody, especially for seventeen year old A’Mari. After her mother was killed by a stray bullet in the mean streets of Chicago, she is forced to move in with her dad and his new family. In the blink of an eye things go from bad to worse for young Mari when her father gets tied up in some illegal business. Mari must learn to deal with the problems life starts to throw at her. Black crossed paths with Mari and never looked back. He has always been the laid back type, that doesn’t speak unless spoken to. All of that changed when he locked eyes with A’Mari, she was young, but he knew he had to have her. Like every hood guy there’s always that one female that thinks she has everything on lock. Black’s longtime side piece Tee is that female. Tee is well known in the hood for beating any female that tries to get close to Black, that is until she tries A’Mari. When A’Mari shows the entire hood she’s a force to be reckoned with, everyone except Black steps back. It actually draws him closer to her. He becomes her go to person, every time life tries to knock her down he’s there to pick her up.
