Guillermo Martínez is an Argentine novelist and short story writer. He gained a PhD in mathematical logic at the University of Buenos Aires. After his degree in Argentina, he worked for two years in a postdoctoral position at the Mathematical Institute, Oxford. His most successful novel has been The Oxford Murders, written in 2003. In the same year, he was awarded the Planeta Prize for this novel, which has been translated into a number of languages.

Mario Bellatin grew up in Peru as the son of Peruvian parents. He spent two years studying theology at the seminary Santo Toribio de Mogrovejo and graduated from the University of Lima. In 1987, Bellatin moved to Cuba, where he studied screenplay writing at the International Film School Latinoamericana. On his return to Mexico in 1995, he became the director of the Department of Literature and Humanities at the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana and became a member of the National System of Creators of Mexico from 1999 to 2005. He is currently the director of the School of Writers Dynamics in Mexico City.

Ana María Shua has earned a prominent place in contemporary Argentine fiction with the publication of many books in nearly every genre: novels, short stories, short short stories, poetry, children's fiction, books of humor and Jewish folklore, anthologies, film scripts, journalistic articles, and essays. Her award-winning works have been translated to many languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Islandic, Bulgarian, and Serbian, and her stories appear in anthologies throughout the world. Born in Buenos Aires in 1951, Shua began her literary career at the young age of sixteen with the publication of El sol y yo (The Sun and I), a volume of poetry which received two literary prizes in 1967. She went on to study at the Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires and worked as an advertising copywriter and journalist during the early stages of her career. Since then, she has received numerous national and international awards, and a Guggenheim Fellowship for her novel El libro de los recuerdos(The Book of Memories, 1994). Her other novels include Soy Paciente (Patient, 1980), Los amores de Laurita (Laurita's Loves,1984), which was made into a movie, La muerte como efecto secundario (Death as a Side Effect, 1997). and El peso de la tentación (The Weight of Temptation, 2007). Her first four microfiction books have been published in Madrid in one volume: Cazadores de Letras, (Letter’s Hunters, 2009). Her complete short stories have been published as Que tengas una vida interesante (Buenos Aires, 2009). Her last microfiction book is Fenómenos de circo in 2011. She published Contra el tiempo, short-stories, in 2013

Leila Guerriero is an Argentinian journalist. She began her career in 1991, as an editor with the magazine Página/30, part of the Argentine newspaper Página/12. Since then her texts have appeared in various publications across Latin America and Europe: La Nación and Rolling Stone, in Argentina; El País, Altaïr and Jot Down, in Spain; Piauí, in Brazil; Leopard, in Mexico; L’Internazionale, in Italy, among others. She is the author of many books, including Los suicidas del fin del mundo (Tusquets, 2004); Frutos extraños (2009, Aguilar, Alfaguara); Una historia sencilla (2013, Anagram); and La Otra Guerra (2021, Anagram). She has received the CEMEX + FNPI New Journalism Award, González-Ruano Prize, Blue Metropolis Grand Prix and Manuel Vázquez Montalbán International Journalism Award. She is the Latin American editor for Gatopardo magazine, and works as a teacher at the Gabo Foundation, founded by Gabriel García Márquez. Her work has been translated into English, French, German, Swedish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish.

Marcelo Birmajer was born the 29th of November of 1966 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His pearents were jews that emigrated to this country from Europe. At the age of twenty years old he started working as a writer for "Fierro" magazine (argentinian comic magazine). After that he also worked for several newspapers as a writter and he also wrote some movie scripts. Marcelo's first contact whit book writing was caused by Pablo De Santis, a fellow writter he met in Fierro magazine. He was organizing some book collection, and he asked Marcelo to write some short novels. That's when he wrote "Un crimen secundario", "Un veneno saludable" and "Derrotado por un muerto" His works go from comic book stories to short tales, novels and essays. He's the co-author of the movie script "El abrazo partido" (Daniel Burman, 2001), winner of a variety of prizes. He also took part in the creating of "Sol de Noche" script. He has won the Konex 2004 award as one of the five best writers of the decade (1994-2003) in the young adult field. In 2011 he won this award again, as one of the five best movie script writters of the decade (2001-2011). He lives in Buenos Aires city, with his wife Debora and his three kids.

Luis María Pescetti nació en San Jorge, provincia de Santa Fe, en 1958. Es compositor, comediante y escritor. Fue profesor de música en escuelas, y colaboró en el Plan Nacional de Lectura de la Secretaría de Cultura de la Nación (Argentina), viajando por todo el país, con charlas, seminarios y talleres sobre creatividad y animación musical. Trabajó en radio, televisión y teatros de Cuba, Estados Unidos, España, Colombia, Chile, Brasil, Perú, Uruguay, México y Argentina, últimos dos países en donde continúa haciendo radio. Tiene editados seis discos y más de veinte libros publicados en diversos países de América Latina y España, varios de ellos con premios nacionales e internacionales, como Premio Nacional Cuadro de Honor de la Literatura Infantil 1997; Premio Destacados de ALIJA-IBBY, 1998 y 2002; Mención The White Ravens, 1998, 2001 y 2005. Con el disco doble Vampiro negro y Cassette pirata recibió el a premio Grammy 2010 Mejor álbum de música latina para niños. Ha vendido más de un millón de ejemplares en Latinoamérica y España. Entre sus libros para niños que se destacan Caperucita Roja (tal como se la contaron a Jorge), Natacha, El pulpo está crudo, Historias de los señores Moc y Poc y Frin, novela por la que ganó varios premios. Su personaje, Natacha, apareció por primera vez en 1997. Desde entonces, la serie de los siete libros de Natacha ha realizado un importante recorrido, y constituye actualmente una de las propuestas literarias con más notoriedad entre el público infantil, los docentes y las familias. También publicó libros para adultos: Qué fácil es estar en pareja, La vida y otros síntomas, Copyright y El ciudadano de mis zapatos, que en 1997 ganó el Premio Casa de las Américas, Cuba. El estilo de Pescetti se caracteriza por su fino humor, la ironía y la observación precisa de lo que sucede en el mundo infantil. En su prosa se reflejan lo cotidiano, el lenguaje coloquial, las situaciones típicas de cualquier niño contemporáneo en su entorno doméstico, al tiempo que no elude las problemáticas que atañen a lo más hondo de los sentimientos y emociones de los chicos y sus familias.
