Amelia Banks convinced her sister to leave California and spend a weekend at Deer Lodge, Montana. It was to prepare for their roles in an upcoming miniseries. Acting was something new for them, and Amelia thought visiting the ranch where they’d be filming would be good research. Henry Sutter worked on the ranch breeding and training horses. He was anxious about the upcoming miniseries too, because several of his horses would be needed throughout the shoot. Guests at Deer Lodge were free to explore the ranch with one no guests were allowed in the barns without staff. Needless to say, when Henry found Amelia in a stall petting his prized horse, he was shocked and somewhat annoyed. But his frustration with Amelia would soon shift to feelings of longing. What followed was a series of unlikely events that would slowly draw this California girl and Montana cowboy together in an unmistakable bond that was meant to be.
