Part of Series

When his affair with Prince Anagha is discovered, Kalyana is devastated when Anagha denies the relationship—and defeated when he is told that he is to be banished. Crushed, helpless, he obediently leaves the royal city behind and heads for his new post at the edge of the kingdom, where he is likely only to be an ugly mess tidily forgotten, unlikely to see home or find love ever again. Note This story was formally part of the That Famous Happy End anthology.

Rachelle Cochran wrote and self-published her first book at age six. Though not exactly the most thought-provoking story, it started a lifelong passion for writing. A native of northern Minnesota, the land of sky blue waters and deep forests, Rachelle grew up in a small town—all of which inspire her writing. Rachelle now lives in a tiny cottage overlooking the tempestuous Lake Superior with her son and daughter. She works as a coffee barista in a funky bakery/coffeehouse in Duluth. The colorful customers and the sound of freshwater waves crashing on the shore provide endless inspiration for her stories and poems. You can contact Rachelle at rachelle.cochran@gmail.com.
