Pierced

2013

Imagine the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo meets Betty Crocker. That's Pierce in a nutshell. Pierce has been on the run for two years from the man who held her captive in a vampire compound for almost a decade. Life on the run would be a lot simpler if she didn't suffer from several social disorders and 'quirks', have a ten-year-old brat in tow, as well as have two characters from a 1945 classic film living in her head and guiding her at every turn. Updated Pierced Series Reading order: Book 1 - PIERCED Book 2- ESCAPED (novella formerly listed as Book 1.5) Book 3 - PINKED Book 4 - PERFECT Book 5 - NAPOLEON (stand alone novella)

Escaped

2013

FYI: Due to recent changes on Amazon, I've had to change this former Book 1.5 to be Book 2 now. (They've got rid the 0.5s) The book cover still says 1.5 on Goodreads until I can change it! Oscar Alvarez de Sevilla was living the American dream. Attending a prestigious law school in New York City and madly in love with the girl downstairs, who he was pretty much going to marry as soon as he graduated. Everything was going as planned and life was good. Twelve years later he is the centerpiece in a daring plan to help two young girls escape from the ruthless psychopath who has had them locked up for most of their lives. The same man for whom Oscar has been working for several years now. His actions will guarantee he will be dead in less than a year, regardless of whether or not he and the girls are recaptured. How did things go so wrong?

Pinked

2013

FYI: Due to changes implemented by Amazon in the way they now want to list books in a series, this book has been changed from Book 2 to Book 3 in the Pierced Series. While Pierce tries to deal with the aftereffects of her new and "unpierced" self, Lucas relives the week leading up to that fateful night when he was forced into doing the one thing he vowed he never would - inflict his disease on another human being. As if he didn't hate himself enough already. As she attempts to come to terms with the new her - the Pierce that is stronger, faster and less reliant on her former "dependencies" - she begins to settle into an unfamiliar, yet longed for, "normal" life with her new found circle of family and friends. Pierce is finally able to do what her maker never was - embrace, accept and thrive from what she has become. It is tricky negotiating the relentless pull of the mate bond between them when one is still traumatized by memories of childhood sexual abuse and the other point blank refuses to acknowledge (out loud at least) that there is a mate bond at all. With Pierce's not-so-subtle help, Lucas comes face to face with the fact that maybe it's time for him to start coming to terms with this "affliction" too. But it is not going to be easy. Especially when they come into contact with another pack for the first time.

Perfect

2014

FYI: Due to changes being implemented by Amazon, I've had to re-number the books in this series. Formerly Book 3, this book has now been labeled Book 4 (due to the fact I had to change Book 1.5 and make it Book 2) Updated reading order is now: PIERCED - Book 1 ESCAPED - Book 2 (formerly Book 1.5) PINKED - Book 3 PERFECT - Book 4 NAPOLEON - Book 5 (stand-alone novella) "Can't live with him, can't live without him." Never have these words seemed more true to Pierce as she deals with the aftermath of Salt Lake City. She and Lucas can't seem to stay apart from each other for very long without the night panics happening again - but being together is almost as torturous. Will her past ever allow her to be intimate with him? Can she afford to let her guard down and allow herself to be happy? She's still suffering from the post-traumatic stress of what happened to her the last time she did that. But on the plus side, their little town of Nowhere is coming along in leaps and bounds. So much so, that it has appeared on the radar of the wolf community. Or at least Pierce's presence has. Suddenly it seems like Nowhere is THE place to be these days...

Napoleon - a novella

2014

NAPOLEON is a NA, M/M Paranormal Romance and novella (approx. 32K words) in the Pierced Series. It is a stand-alone book and can be enjoyed without having read the first four books in the series. Napoleon Charming-Balak has been crushing on the "exchange student" that's been staying with him for the last six months. The object of his crush: Sixten Dahl, a straight boy that seems to get his kicks from flirting with, then torturing, Napoleon in the cruelest of ways. Is it any wonder Nap, and his best friend Moused, are high-tailing it to New York City as fast as they possibly can? If there's one thing Napoleon is hoping for, it's that life in the Big Apple will be exactly what his self-esteem needs to get over the Swedish tease that has been tormenting him all summer long. If he could only stop thinking about Sixten long enough to enjoy it.

(Hunter College, NYU and Columbia, respectively) I have traveled extensively, including a 3 month stay in India, but have settled in Las Vegas, NV of all places where I have been living for the last 7 years with my two “babies” Alabama Worley Mells and Persephone Jayne Mells. I was born in Africa and left out in the sun too often. After being persuaded that I wasn't going to be able to be a cowboy if I grew up, I got interested in philosophy and psychology. Tending bars proved to me they weren't as much fun as they sounded. While trying to enroll in a class to read Science Fiction full time, I ended up taking an electronic engineering degree which splendidly qualified me to move into marketing. That in turn spawned a late onset career in creative writing. When not writing, I fly a microlight aircraft, or get muddy on a mountain bike. I love reading obviously. Urban Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thrillers, History, Crime, Art, oh nearly everything.
