Bert Hannah is thrilled to open her brand new combination pie shop and bookstore, Pies and Pages, just in time for the holiday season in Culver's Hood, Nebraska. Kicking off the festivities is the annual Autumn Walk which is held in the downtown Old Market. Free samples of a tasty new pie and some awesome sidewalk sales on books are just what the doctor ordered to get new customers interested and buying.
Circumstances quickly turn dark, however, when the body of a disgruntled customer turns up on Bert’s doorstep. Detective Mannor is assigned to solve the case again, and Bert can't help sticking her nose firmly into police business, digging for clues and ferreting out information. Will she be able to assist the detective in catching the killer, or will the trigger-happy killer come for her next?

It's Halloween, and Bert Hannah is eagerly looking forward to the annual trunk-or-treat being held at her church. She's got a great costume picked out and has plans to hand out mini Jack-O-Lantern Pies. The celebration takes a tragic turn when an accident occurs in the middle of the festivities and a member of the congregation ends up dead.
Bert is the only person who actually witnessed what happened, and the more she thinks about it, the more she wonders if it was merely an accident after all. It seems as though murder has struck again, and Bert is determined to pin down the killer before they can deliver one more Halloween trick.

Thanksgiving is a big deal for pie and book shop owner, Bertha Hannah, largely because it happens to be the most pie-related holiday on the calendar. Bert soon finds herself overwhelmed with the number of orders which need
to be completed before the holiday rush, but she’s vowed to let nothing keep her from honoring her annual commitment to volunteer at the local soup kitchen.
Unfortunately, the holiday production schedule comes to a shuddering halt, when an unknown man is stabbed to death in the alleyway behind the kitchen. Could his murder be related to a recent string of mysterious deaths that Bert read about in the paper, or was the man merely the victim of a random mugging?
As she is dragged further and further into the investigation, Bert begins to wonder if she’ll ever be able to find the time and peace to stop and give thanks this year.

It's time for a girl's day out!
Off on their festive adventure, the ladies run into Detective Mannor—a man Bert recently turned down for a date—and the day heads rapidly downhill when a body is discovered in one of the mall's most popular shops. A cheerful season of peace and goodwill has turned blood red with homicide and it's up to Bert to figure out the mystery before Santa can say Ho-Ho-Ho.

When a jewelry shop in the Old Market is robbed, and an expensive jeweled egg is stolen, it seems someone might be out to ruin Easter.
For pie shop owner Bertha Hannah, however, she has very little time to think about crime as she is preparing for the annual city Easter Egg Hunt at the community gardens. Businesses and churches from all over the city are contributing to the event, and Bert has a new pie recipe planned for the day.
Festivities are brought to a screeching halt, however, when a body is found in the bushes. Is this new death connected to the egg robbery? When the finger of accusation seems to be pointed in the direction of a friend, Bert knows it is up to her to solve this mystery before the Easter Bunny hops away with all the clues.

Pie shop owner Bertha Hannah might not have any children of her own, but this Mother's Day she is celebrating by helping to cater a Wine and Cheese party for some of the richest ladies—and mothers—in all of Culver's Hood, Nebraska. She has a delicious cheesecake tart prepared for the occasion, and things start off swimmingly, until a gruesome discovery is made at the elegant venue.
When the hostess of the party is found, face down, in one of the estate's beautiful fountains, Detective Harry Manor is all too ready to point a finger at one of Bert's fellow church members, who happens to be at the party. Bert steps in, along with her friends Shiv and Carla, to see what clues they can find to exonerate the innocent churchgoer, before the real killer slips through their fingers and gets away with murder.

Unfortunately, her preparations are interrupted when a car accident occurs outside her shop early one morning. Dragged away from her regular duties because she happens to be a potential witness to the crash, Bert can't help but feel like something is amiss.
Her suspicious are confirmed when what seemed to be a typical accident is determined to be a homicide. It becomes immediately evident to Bert that there may be bigger players involved in this case than she had originally suspected, making the case far more dangerous for everyone involved.
It's up to Bert, Harry, and Carla to race against the clock to put the real murderer behind bars before the Father's Day holiday goes murderously wrong.
