Cole is a bear shifter, and is Jayce's partner. Lover. Whatever. Cole is a physics professor and doesn't have time for silly labels—nor is he thrilled with the prospect of having a seven hundred year old former Queen of England living in their home. If she thinks he's bowing to her, she'll be sorely disappointed. Sergei was abducted from foster care by an evil vampire as a child, and turned into a werewolf. Abbott rescued him when he took over Maryland, and he's living with Jayce and Cole, employed as their house manager, but he wants to be so much more to them. Two vampires, a grizzly bear, and a werewolf. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but these four living under one roof is serious business. With the coming war so close, he needs to take steps to protect the couple who manage his vast fortune. If the former slave can also help them find common ground and rekindle their romance? Even better. Ajax was abducted from foster care as a small child and raised as a slave. Chosen for his size, he was forced into hard physical labor to create a huge, intimidating physique. His original Vampire Master had the slave trained to be his personal bodyguard, and Ajax excels at it. When Abbott took over the territory, he tried letting Ajax work for Drake Security, but the werewolf was miserable. How can a swan possibly fit into this? Arabella’s mother sold her eggs to the traffickers, and the swanling was hatched into slavery. When the Swan Queen took over the crown, she tried to award Arabella her freedom, but it never took. Surprisingly, it’s possible the little swan might be the glue that holds everything together. Our story starts on one Christmas and ends on the next. A lot can happen in a year.

Most twelve-year-old vampires haven’t figured out their powers yet, and this one is no different. However, she’s figured out how to hack brains as easily as she can hack a computer, so it isn’t as if she’s completely helpless.Grizzly, leopard, mongoose, and vampire. Join this kinky foursome as they learn each other’s foibles and quirks, and figure out how to live together in the present tense.

He helps Brooke, Alabama’s diminutive Master Vampire, run her empire, and whether he does so with kindness or cruelty is entirely up to the subjects he’s responsible for.
