Rodney Mark Cavalier is a former Australian politician and a Labor historian. A member of the Labor Party since 1968, he was elected to the Parliament of New South Wales in 1978 as the Member for Fuller. He served briefly as the state's energy and finance minister in 1984 before becoming education minister that same year, a post he held until 1988.
