Born in Perak, Kaoru has been enthusiastic about comics ever since she was old enough to grasp a pencil and draw. No wonder she became the first female cartoonist in Malaysia to ever appear in manga-influenced style. While her works are very neat simple yet exotic it has revolved around on more love-oriented stories although still preserving the sense of intellectuality and substance. With the likes of "Siri Maskeret Cinta" she also has produced a series of action adventure graphic novels aptly titled "Helios Eclipse." Akasumi, FooYee, Hope, Kazuaki, ManMan, Neko, Wish, and mao00mao Established in 2013, the team is responsible for conceiving and realising sweet, dreamy educational comics aimed at female readers. Their focus is to provide their readers with a different and delightful visual experience. Current projects include the ‘Candy’ and ‘Prince’ series. The name CANDY FACTORY was chosen to commemorate the team’s first comic series. The notion of them being a factory producing the ‘CANDY’ series seemed blissfully apt.
