JACKSON KUHL is the author of the gothic novels A Season of Whispers and the forthcoming The Island of Small Misfortunes, as well as the Revolutionary War biography Samuel Smedley, Connecticut Privateer. Kuhl has written for Atlas Obscura, the Journal of the American Revolution, National Geographic News, and other publications. His short fiction has been published in numerous anthologies.

Prior to becoming a published author, Geoff was heavily involved in the roleplaying game community and wrote several game products - some of which have been published by Expeditious Retreat Press, Sentinel Hill Press, and others. His first short novel, The Tunnelers, was published in 2011 by Solstice Publishing. He has since been published by Metahuman Press, AE SciFi, KnightWatch Press, Exile Editions, McGraw-Hill, Third Flatiron Publishing, and others. He primarily writes horror, but is willing to give anything a whirl. Geoff lives in South Mountain, where a lovely and captivating stone-carving, bagpipe-playing witch also happens to reside.

Lisa Timpf is a retired human resources and communications professional who lives in Simcoe, Ontario. Her writing has appeared in a number of venues, including Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Dog, New Myths, Third Flatiron, and Scifaikuest. She has self-published a collection of creative non-fiction and poetry entitled A Trail That Twines: Reflections on Life and Nature, and wrote a non-fiction book about a tennis club in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia entitled St. George's Lawn Tennis Club: The First Hundred Years. A graduate of McMaster University's Physical Education program, Ms. Timpf also completed course work toward an MSc in Sport History at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. When not writing, Lisa enjoys cycling and bird-watching. A long-time dog owner, she currently has a Border Collie named Emma.
