The recommended method for using this commentary (and volume 21) is 1) read the text of the psalm before studying the commentary; 2) after reading Sections I and II of the commentary, reread the text of the psalm in the light of its biblical origins; 3) after reading Section III of the commentary for each psalm, reread the psalm in the light of its key words and phrases; and 4) after reading Section IV of the commentary, reread the psalm prayerfully once more.
