Jutta Richter (born September 30, 1955 in Burgsteinfurt, Westfalen, Germany) is a German author of children's and youth literature. Richter spent her youth in the Ruhr and Sauerland and at the age of 15 she spent a year in Detroit (USA). There she wrote her first book, so as not to forget her native language, and published the book whilst still a schoolgirl. After studying Theology, German, and Communication in Münster, she has worked since 1978 as a freelance writer at Schloss Westerwinkel in Ascheberg and in Lucca (Tuscany).
Ute Krause, aufgewachsen in der Türkei, in Nigeria, auf Zypern und in Indien, verbrachte viele Jahre in den USA und lebt derzeit mit ihrer Familie in Berlin. Sie begann ein Studium der Visuellen Kommunikation in Berlin und wechselte dann als Fulbright-Stipendiatin nach New York und schließlich an die Münchener Filmhochschule. Zu ihren vielseitigen Arbeiten gehören Kurz- und Dokumentarfilme, Cartoons für den »Stern« und Drehbücher. Seit 1985 hat sie 16 Bilderbücher veröffentlicht, bislang vier Kinderromane geschrieben und über 400 Bilder- und Kinderbücher illustriert. Ihre Bücher wurden weltweit in viele Sprachen übersetzt und fürs Fernsehen verfilmt. Ihre Arbeit wurde vielfach ausgezeichnet.
Zoran Drvenkar was born in Križevci in Croatia in 1967 and moved to Berlin with his parents at the age of three. He has been a writer since 1989, and his novels, poems, plays and short stories have won him numerous awards and prizes. Zoran Drvenkar currently still lives in Berlin. In 2004 he wrote the childrens book Die Kurzhosengang under the pseudonym Victor Caspak & Yves Lanois.
