When Bethany Newman finds out that she has been sold off to a man way out in Fort Vancouver and is being escorted by her stepfather’s servants, she begins to pray for a way of escape. Brett Flannery is an underground conductor and has been helping slaves escape from plantations in Atlanta, Georgia but soon finds himself in trouble for doing that. Arranging for his own escape, he decides to leave for Fort Vancouver. The last thing the two expect is to find love on the Oregon Trail, but unexpected events make them cross paths and love triumphs in the end.
