Part of Series
In space, doing the right thing could get you killed. As war ignites the galaxy, the Star Renegade crew hunkers down and makes repairs. The quiet is nice, and Cal resolves to keep his crew from the fighting. When a squadron of dying enforcers comes to Dania for help, though, they can’t turn their backs. The enforcers’ princess was captured and without her energy, they’re starving and too weak to rescue her. Attempting a prison break is suicide, but if the Star Renegade doesn’t help, the enforcers will die. However if Cal does save them, all fifty enforcers will instantly default to their secondary programming and execute the Renegade crew for past crimes. Cal wants to cut and run. It’s the smart thing to do. That doesn’t make it the right thing, though. Stars knows how they’re going to get out of this one.
Author

Jennifer M. Eaton hails from the eastern shore of the North American Continent on planet Earth. Yes, regrettably, she is human, but please don’t hold that against her. While not traipsing through the galaxy looking for specimens for her space moth collection, she lives with her wonderfully supportive husband and three energetic offspring. (And a poodle who runs the spaceport when she’s not around.) During infrequent excursions to her home planet of Earth, Jennifer enjoys long hikes in the woods, bicycling, swimming, snorkeling, and snuggling up by the fire with a great book; but great adventures are always a short shuttle ride away. Who knows where we’ll end up next?
