Small town. Big ghost problem. And absolutely no instructions for what to do when your cat might be haunted. Mattie Myers just wanted to sell candles, post oddly satisfying wax-carving videos, and avoid human interaction whenever possible. But when a mysterious white cat shows up on her doorstep—and a colonial-era ghost follows shortly after—Mattie finds herself accidentally entangled in a centuries-old murder mystery. Now she’s being haunted, possibly hexed, and definitely judged by her very-much-alive Aunt Brandi. Oh, and the town’s grumpy (and unfortunately attractive) new police officer thinks Mattie might be hallucinating. To solve the mystery and avoid sharing the ghost’s fate, Mattie must untangle cryptic clues, navigate historic re-enactments gone wrong, and figure out why a spirit named Martha Myers looks suspiciously like... her. Ghosts. Candle wax. And one very dramatic feline. This is not how Mattie planned her week.
