Roadside Attraction

2021

After escaping a bad situation, Juniper is on the run. A little car trouble is to be expected on her cross country road trip to nowhere in particular, but breaking down and getting stuck in a strange little town called Fate was not in the plan. Neither was meeting a surly tow truck driver/mechanic named Rex who arrives just in time. Rex is broody, bossy, and strong, and the connection between them is instantaneous. Putting down roots in Fate might seem simple, but it’s only a matter of time before Juniper’s complicated past catches up to her, and brings with it a whole tangled mess of trouble.

Falling into Fate

2021

Ben My only happiness was ripped from me ten years ago, and my heart never stopped searching for my best friend and the only girl I ever loved. Imagine my surprise when I see her wandering around the autumn festival in Fate, of all places. Was I really this close to finding her for the last ten years? When I try to tell her who I am, she doesn’t believe me at first. She’s going to need some convincing that my motives are pure. Well, that’s just fine. When it comes to my best friend, I’ll stop at nothing to have her in my life again. My best friend may still be haunted by the past, but I’m going to turn the world upside down to make her happy again. Billie’s mine. She’s always been mine, and there was never anybody else for me. From now on, I’m not going to spend a single day without her. Billie As an organizer of my town’s first ever Fall Fiber Festival, I have a lot on my mind. I don’t have time for random beer brewer from the next town over. No matter how nicely he fills out that flannel and those jeans. But when that cute guy from the beer stand claims to be my childhood best friend, I’m going to need a minute to process. If he even is the real Ben. Either way, he’s opened up a whole lot of old wounds, and he has some explaining to do. And, frankly, so do I. I’ve been working too hard to heal from the past, and I’m not going to let anyone pull me back.

Fate's Dark Shadows

2021

Silent Doyle I only wish to be left alone. Being the town recluse is my penance for what my family has done to this once-thriving town. I’ve taken a vow of silence, and it serves to keep people at a distance, as well as keep the storm that roils inside my head under tenuous control. Meeting new people in Fate usually means more people to keep at arm’s length, but once I lay eyes on Maya, everything changes. The clamor in my brain stops when she’s near. My hard heart begins to crack open. Worst of all, I have a new desire to no longer be alone. But if I claim her as mine, what then? She has her whole life ahead of her. Will I just be using her to soothe my inner demons? I couldn’t live with myself if I took advantage of a young woman with such a sweet nature. Still, she’s there. Everywhere I go, Maya is reaching out with a caring touch and a healing presence. I know in my heart there is no one else for me, but there is no way this beautiful angel will be able to stand the monster in me for long. Maya I don’t quite understand this new town I’ve stumbled into. And I definitely do not understand this man who keeps staring at me while I’m working at the diner. He lives alone in a big black mansion and doesn’t speak out loud to anyone. And yet, everyone in Fate acts like this is completely normal. He and his Edward Cullen-like vibe just won’t leave me alone. It’s almost as if he knows… Ever since I was a young teen, I’ve had urges I don’t understand. I like older men, and I’d like to be handled a certain way. I’ve never entertained these desires, and I’ve been careful not to let my guard down around the wrong person. And yet, I feel like Silent Doyle is someone who understands. It makes no sense for me to trust him. Yet the more I let myself fall into his gaze, I’m under his thrall. We just met, and yet all I want to do is for him to lay me bare and take what he wants. About the series: All is not lost when you break down by the side of the road, especially if you break down anywhere near the town of Fate. Who might you meet first? Will it be a grumpy tow truck driver? A bored sheriff with too much time on his hands? A bar man whose clumsy meet-cute ends with spilled beer all over your knitting project? Never fear, because high-heat, insta-love, small-town romances and happily ever afters await you! Come for the cherry pie, and stay to shake hands with the mayor (the only truly good boy in town.) Enjoy!

Rode Hard

Rebecca Everyone thinks they know me: nice, kind, reliable Becky. The quiet single woman who spends her time running the town’s Bookmobile and serving the public on the town council. Not to mention coping with the demands of a well-meaning but overbearing family. They don’t know the real me. Heck, they don’t even hear me when I say I prefer to be called Rebecca, not Becky. The interesting man I recently met online promises to change all of that. When he rolls up to Friendsgiving on his motorcycle and stakes his claim in front of the entire town, there’s no going back to the life I led before. Donovan I knew her before I even met her. Rebecca may live across the country, but she’s mine. We belong together, and nothing, not even distance is going to keep us apart. It may seem crazy to hop on my motorcycle and drive over several state lines to attend a Friendsgiving dinner with a stranger, in a tiny town I’ve never heard of. Rebecca is not a stranger, though. Our souls know each other already. When I arrive in Fate, I can see she’s just as warm and perfect for me as I believed she would be. The only problem is, lots of other people are getting in the way. Rebecca is a woman with too many responsibilities, who is too kind to say no to the needs of her community. I plan on spending my life taking care of the woman who spends too much time taking care of everyone else. Crash Into Me

2021

Emma I’ve been saving up for years for one thing: a luxury vacation in isolation to finish my book. Where? Anywhere will do, but a cozy five-star chalet in the mountains sounds just perfect. But of course, nature has conspired to ruin this city girl’s life. When I wake up in the bed of the surly mountain man who rescued me from certain death, I’ll do anything to get away from him and get on with my writer’s retreat. I don’t care how well he’s taking care of me, I need to be on my own…or do I? Eli This woman has thrown chaos into my perfectly tranquil life on this mountain. I moved up here to be alone five years ago for this very reason. But I’m not completely heartless, and I will respond when someone is in grave danger. The only problem now is she can’t leave my little hunting cabin because of the dangers out there on the mountain … and because I don’t want her to leave. Ever.

Snowed Under

2021

"I want to do this right, this time. I want more than a one night stand. I want her to stay." Lucy I should focus on investigating this strange small-town sheriff, but what I’m excited about is the chance to see real snow for the first time in my life. When the universe conspires with Mother Nature to bring me face to face with the man I hooked up with years ago, I find myself trapped under a lot more than snow. Both of us are a little older and a little wiser this time. There’s something about the magic of snow that reminds us of the essential things in life. Wyatt These days, love is everywhere in the tiny town of Fate. While I’m happy for my friends, that’s not the hand the universe has dealt me. I pour all my imagination into taking care of my town. So, maybe my unorthodox practices have put a target on my back. And wouldn’t you know it, the feds have sent in the most unexpected person to question my methods. I’ve got one night to make sure I don’t lose her again, and I aim to make the most of it. About this book: This is a later-in-life romance about two people who used to know each other. There is no cheating, no mentions of exes or ex drama and a happily ever after. This a short read/novella, as are all of the stories in the Roadside Attraction series.
