Winter weather can spell death for the homeless, but the bodies found on Baltimore’s streets aren’t homeless and they didn’t die from the cold. Are rogue vampires making a move into the city, emboldened by the fractured Balaj, or has Dario’s family taken to feeding indiscriminatingly? Dario swears it’s not the latter, but when it comes to light that one of the dead is a well-known Templar Knight, the Order’s eyes turn to the city with a vigilance not seen since the Crusades. Aria will need to use both her sword and her magic to catch a killer before the Order blames the vampires and decides to kill them all and let God sort them out.

Debra lives in a little house in the woods in Maryland with three sons, and a Noah’s ark of four legged family members. She has a corporate job during the day, and writes novels at night, after the kids are tucked in bed. She drives an Excursion affectionately called The Beast, couldn’t carry a tune if you duct taped it to her back, and enjoys an occasional cosmopolitan (heavy on the vodka). On a good day, she jogs and horseback rides, hopefully managing to keep the horse between herself and the ground. Her only known super power is ‘Identify Roadkill’.
