Part of Series

Hy'furl Ghafa is a Nydrian maintenance worker aboard Deltan Kubra, a shabby but popular entertainment station, who finds himself developing a bond with one of the consorts – a human consort by the name of Jasper Stellan. The Nydrians are a short but strong humanoid alien species with mostly similarities to humans – except for their third eye and several ridged body parts! They blend chameleon-like into their surroundings, but the more familiar you are with them, the more opaque they are. To Jasper, Hy'furl is slowly becoming easier to see, but the alien has outdated ideas about spiriting him away just like every other lover or customer wants to do. As Hy'furl and Jasper navigate through their crushes and the pitfalls of their jobs, it becomes clear that someone will need to be saved – the question is, which of them and why? Warning: This short story contains scenes of an explicit nature between consenting adults and is intended only for an 18+ audience. Word count: 12,300.

E. Davies grew up moving constantly, which taught him what people have in common, the ways relationships are formed, and the dangers of “miscellaneous” boxes. As a young gay author, Ed prefers to tell feel-good stories that are brimming with hope. He writes full-time, goes on long nature walks, tries to fill his passport, drinks piña coladas on the beach, flees from cute guys, coos over fuzzy animals (especially bees), and is liable to tilt his head and click his tongue if you don't use your turn signal.
