A series of unexplained illnesses, in his parish of Salisbury, causes Reverend Gerald Dervish concern enough to travel to London to consult with Sherlock Holmes–but to Dervish’s disappointment, Holmes seems uninterested in his case. When Watson reads of Reverend Dervish's death, seemingly of natural causes, Holmes immediately takes up his case. The investigation leads to the foreboding and much feared Granholm Asylum where several people have been committed after falling inexplicably ill. Sherlock Holmes is convinced a connection exists between these illnesses, Dervish’s death, and the Asylum. Why are perfectly healthy residents suddenly falling ill? What caused those affected to lose their minds? And how is the Asylum connected to these mysterious incidents? With little support from the local police, it falls on Sherlock Holmes and his faithful friend Watson, along with Lady Harmony, to uncover the truth––a truth which might end with one or more becoming the newest inmates of the Granholm Asylum…
Author

Christopher is a Reader's Favorite award winning author and Star Trek Feature Writer. Described by New York Times Bestseller Michael Jan Friedman as "an up-and-coming fantasy voice", and compared to Roger Zelazny's best work, Abbott's Songs of the Osirian series of works brings a bold re-telling of Ancient Egyptian mythology. Abbott presents a fresh view of deities we know, such as Horus, Osiris, and Anubis. He weaves the godlike magic through musical poetry, giving these wonderfully tragic and deeply flawed "gods" different perspective, all the while increasing their mysteriousness. His Sherlock Holmes stories, published in the Watson Chronicles Series, have been recognised by readers and peers alike as faithfully authentic to the original Conan Doyle. In 2022, after publishing seven individual Watson Chronicle stories, Christopher teamed up with prolific authors Michael Jan Friedman and Aaron Rosenberg to add a collection of Holmes short stories to the series. Christopher has published with Crazy8Press and written for major media outlets, including ScreenRant.
