Crisse is the pen name of Didier Chrispeels, a Belgian comic book author who is well known in the world of Franco-Belgian comics. Born in Brussels, he began drawing on canvas in Lyon at age eighteen. His career in comics started with Ocean's King for Spirou Magazine in 1979 and an issue of Tintin in 1980. He moved to France and published several successful series, including Kookaburra, Atalanta, and Luuna.
