Sometimes a Halloween party… Can be murder. Search and Rescue Dog Trainer and amateur sleuth, Eve, attends a Halloween party with friends at a new indoor riding arena where she meets Alice’s new, mysterious boyfriend for the first time. All seems to be going well until another guest is murdered…and Alice’s boyfriend is found red-handed with the murder weapon. He swears he’s innocent, and Alice believes him, but Eve is torn. A scrap of a Halloween costume is discovered, and Alice’s boyfriend claims that it belongs to the real killer. Against her instincts and as a favor to Alice, Eve caves in to Alice’s pleas to use Willow’s tracking skills in an attempt to catch the murderer and exonerate her boyfriend, all the while wondering if the man Alice is seeing is sending them on a wild goose chase.
