Daniel Bishop was content with his life. He had grown quite comfortable in his daily routine. He enjoyed working as an instructor at Alpha Security and had no desire to be out in the field like the other bodyguards he trained. Everything was going smoothly until his little sister asked him to accompany her to a gymnastics meet in Florida. She knew just the right things to say to get Daniel to agree to go, and the next thing he knew, he was in Orlando toting around a bag full of leotards. He was out of his comfort zone and basically counting the minutes until he could return home to Memphis. That's when one phone call changed everything. An Alpha bodyguard wound up in the hospital, and Daniel was asked to go to Miami to cover for him. He already dreaded being in the field, and the assignment to protect the ultra-famous pop star, Courtney Cole, only added to his stress. Even though he didn't want to go, he knew the company was in a pinch and he should help out.
