Experienced journalist Nona Gregory has just been assigned a story that could catapult her career into the stratosphere—that is, if she can get the most reclusive young architect in the state to open up about his work. Nona’s typical no-nonsense, professional approach isn’t going to fly with this design aficionado, so she’ll have to take extra measures to ensure she gets the full truth for her write up. Architect Ken Yamada is known for his unique designs, not for his social skills. He’s an introvert who needs alone time to fuel his creativity—that, and the contentment he gets from playing drums with his friends and bandmates in the Queen City Gents. When he hears a reporter has been sniffing around for information about his personal life, he isn’t pleased. His displeasure is somewhat softened when he finally meets the beautiful woman who wants to know all about him. But he’s still not ready to reveal his inner life to the world. Their shared love of music, and mutual dedication to their work soon creates a bond between them. But he has secrets he simply can’t reveal, even though she’s loathe to take no for an answer. Will their stolen moments together lead to pain, or could their connection lead to a lasting love? STARDUST was originally published as Tempo of Love by Harlequin Kimani in summer 2017. Details about the hero have been slightly altered to reflect increased cultural awareness. Readers of this updated re-released version will enjoy a bonus epilogue, catching up with the lead couple, as well as exclusive access to tons of digital goodies including games, downloadable content, behind the scenes videos, and more!

I've always loved the written word. For as long as I can remember, I read as much as I could, as often as I could. Cereal boxes, newspapers, product packaging. Ebony, Essence, and Jet Magazine. Billboards. I loved it all. I read the entire Fear Street series, as well as the Sweet Valley Books, from Twins and Friends through Sweet Valley High. Each week I'd bring 15 or 20 books home from the library, and read them all before the due date. Now, my mother owned a pristine, barely touched collection of Harlequin romance novels, and I was not to touch them under any circumstances. Well, as a teenager, you know what that meant. I read some of them, and got my first introduction to romance. When I was sixteen, I picked up my stepmother's copy of Night Song, by Beverly Jenkins. The cover showed an obviously historical image of a black couple, against a beautiful backdrop, locked in a passionate embrace. With my love of history, I had to crack this book. What I read inside literally blew my mind. I was exposed to a wonderful, touching love story involving people who looked like me! What a thrill. To this day Night Song remains my favorite book, and I credit it with planting the seed of desire to write romance. I didn't get serious until many years later, but that's where it all began.
