Eighteen year old Nora is looking forward to moving off to college - The University of North Carolina. While she loves her mother dearly, she's eager to be out on her own and step out of her overprotective mother's shadow. Besides, she has her older stepbrother David Sheppard, who's already attending UNC, to look after her when she needs it. But when Nora and David are back in each other's everyday lives, jealousy quickly consumes them, and their true feelings toward one another are revealed.
