Tess Camillo never expected to be a sleuth. Then again, this wry lesbian never imagined someone would try to kill her ... especially not with a snake. The police are convinced the incident at Tess' home was an accident. But when another woman is found murdered a few weeks later - with a snake as the culprit - Tess and her loopy hetero housemate try to unravel the mystery. Tess befriends the murdered woman's girlfriend, only to uncover a strange set of circumstances that just don't add up. Toss in a knife-wielding venom vender, a card-reading psychic, and a depressed herpetologist - not to mention an unexpected life crisis - and suddenly Tess is in one big mess.
Author

(from the author's web site) The basics: I was raised on the Jersey shore where I was fascinated with things like conch eggs and learning the Hebrew alphabet. We writers are an odd lot. I played at college, then enlisted in the Navy and served at Brunswick, Maine and San Diego, where I stayed for 25+ years. I now hide out in the Pacific Northwest, twenty miles from the actual location of Einstein's brain. In 2001, I was diagnosed with advanced lobular invasive carcinoma (a form of breast cancer), and have lived with this cancer ever since. It's been an interesting journey; hope you join me for the ride by reading one of my books!
