Part of Series

Burned once, Storm Bateman wants nothing to do with love again…even though it gave him his most precious gift—his adorable daughter. His life is full without it. He has all he needs in life—his ranch, his horses, and female companionship whenever he wants it—with no strings attached. Then one snowy day, he comes across a stranded woman in the snow…in her wedding dress. The woman, with whom he had one amazing sexual encounter and hasn’t stopped thinking about since is back…and he wants her, only she wants more and that’s out of the question. After all, it could lead to something more that would only hurt him and his daughter. Chloe Baxter has loved Storm since she first set eyes on him as a little girl. Thinking he was always out of reach, when the opportunity presented itself, she took it, and had the best sex of her life only to have him walk away, never to mention it again. Now, she has a second chance with the brooding dark-eyed man of her dreams…that is, if she can tear down the wall Storm has erected around his heart. Can he trust and love again?
