“Story of the Physician and the Saratoga Trunk” is a short story written by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson (1850-1894). It was first published in 1882. “A woman loves to be obeyed at first, although afterwards she finds her pleasure in obeying.” This edition also contains a biographical profile of Stevenson written by English poet and critic Edmund William Gosse (1849-1928) in 1911.
