aka Catriona McCloud Catriona McPherson was born in South Queensferry. After finishing school, she worked in a bank for a short time, before going to university. She studied for an MA in English Language and Linguistics at Edinburgh University, and then gained a job in the local studies department at Edinburgh City Libraries. She left this post after a couple of years, and went back to university to study for a PhD in semantics. During her final year she applied for an academic job, but left to begin a writing career. These days, McPherson lives with her husband on a farm in the Galloway countryside, where she spends her time writing, gardening, swimming and running.

I started writing when I was about six years old. I loved this one children's book and I rewrote it. Oh, I didn't add or change a thing. Rewrote it verbatim. When I showed my older brother (eleven years old), he told me I hadn't written it. I copied it. I was so confused. Of course I'd written it, it's on the paper in my handwriting. Geez. Next, thanks to my mom who read to me pretty much every night growing up, and to my big brother Jeff who had shelves lined with comics, Burroughs (Edgar Rice, not William S. - though I do enjoy reading the Beat writers), Heinlein, Tolkien, Asimov, Bradbury, Robeson (Lester Dent), and so on and so forth, I fell in love with reading from an early age. Following that, thanks to my friend Steve and my fifth grade teacher Mr. Rogers (no, not that one), I started writing almost all the time (my own stories, not copies of other books). You see, Steve told Mr. Rogers about something a teacher did back in Seattle where he'd just come from: free-writing for ten minutes during class. That's how I came to write my first novel in fifth grade in Big Chief notepads. It was a Doc Savage/Tarzan mashup. (Wish I could find those notepads ... or maybe I don't.) Fast forward and I'm now much (much) older than my fifth-grade self, but I still love the genre of the fantastic. I've published six books (three under a pen name) and a smattering of short stories. I live in Denver with two Chihuahuas, where by day I write user guides for a software company and by night, or rather by early evening because, you know, late nights are a thing of the past, I write about an Irish family of monster hunters. Don't let my last name fool you, I'm half Irish-y (with dabs of Welsh, Scottish, and English mixed in). And now we're all caught up. Thanks and take care.

Paul Wartenberg developed an interest in writing as far back as the first grade, and pursued an interest in creative writing alongside studying for a career in journalism. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1992 with a bachelors in Journalism, but during his studies he worked as a part-time student at the campus library, which redirected his professional interests. He quickly went to the University of South Florida to study librarianship, earning a Masters in Library and Information Sciences in 1993. His professional career has mostly been in libraries. Working Broward County Libraries from 1994 to 2003. Then at the UF Smathers Libraries from 2003 to 2006. He then worked at Pasco County Libraries from 2006 to 2008. He is currently working as the reference librarian at Bartow Public Library. He's been a resident of Florida since childhood, which means that, yes he has seen a lot of crazy stuff...

Leslie Carmichael has been inside the Great Pyramid at Giza, has watched the world turn purple during a total solar eclipse, and has been an honoured guest at a Canadian-Scottish-Taiwanese wedding. She has swum in the Red Sea, picked amethysts out of the ground near Thunder Bay, watched a space shuttle land, and cooked a Medieval dinner for 200 people. She has worn a corset, a suit of armour and a Klingon outfit (but not all at the same time). Leslie also likes to work on miniature dolls and dollhouses when she’s not writing. She can crochet three-dimensional objects without a pattern, but finds knitting way too complicated. She sings soprano in a choir and loves just about any type of music. Her publication credits include short stories, articles, comic interactive murder mystery plays and children’s books. Leslie lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, three children and two cats.

David Court was born and resides in Coventry, UK with his patient wife and his three less patient cats. A few years back David achieved minor internet notoriety under the pseudonym FoldsFive for his animated GIFs telling the entirety of the Star Wars Trilogy, a fact that he's still jolly well proud of and insists on telling anyone at any opportunity. When not reading, blogging angrily on www.foldsfive.co.uk, drinking real ale, being immune to explosions, writing software for a living or practicing his poorly developed telekinetic skills, he can be found writing fiction. His short stories "A Shadow Cast by the World" and "Undercurrent" were published in the horror anthologies "Fear's Accomplice" and "Terror at the beach" in 2014. His first collection of short stories - "The Shadow Cast by the World" was published in 2013 with "Forever and Ever, Armageddon" released a year later. "Forever and Ever, Armageddon - Super Turbo Alpha Extreme" is a compilation of all of his short stories to date. David is a member of the Horror Writers Association, and his next anthology - "Scenes of Mild Peril" is due for release in 2017.
