Paul Wartenberg developed an interest in writing as far back as the first grade, and pursued an interest in creative writing alongside studying for a career in journalism. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1992 with a bachelors in Journalism, but during his studies he worked as a part-time student at the campus library, which redirected his professional interests. He quickly went to the University of South Florida to study librarianship, earning a Masters in Library and Information Sciences in 1993. His professional career has mostly been in libraries. Working Broward County Libraries from 1994 to 2003. Then at the UF Smathers Libraries from 2003 to 2006. He then worked at Pasco County Libraries from 2006 to 2008. He is currently working as the reference librarian at Bartow Public Library. He's been a resident of Florida since childhood, which means that, yes he has seen a lot of crazy stuff...

aka Catriona McCloud Catriona McPherson was born in South Queensferry. After finishing school, she worked in a bank for a short time, before going to university. She studied for an MA in English Language and Linguistics at Edinburgh University, and then gained a job in the local studies department at Edinburgh City Libraries. She left this post after a couple of years, and went back to university to study for a PhD in semantics. During her final year she applied for an academic job, but left to begin a writing career. These days, McPherson lives with her husband on a farm in the Galloway countryside, where she spends her time writing, gardening, swimming and running.

Leslie Carmichael has been inside the Great Pyramid at Giza, has watched the world turn purple during a total solar eclipse, and has been an honoured guest at a Canadian-Scottish-Taiwanese wedding. She has swum in the Red Sea, picked amethysts out of the ground near Thunder Bay, watched a space shuttle land, and cooked a Medieval dinner for 200 people. She has worn a corset, a suit of armour and a Klingon outfit (but not all at the same time). Leslie also likes to work on miniature dolls and dollhouses when she’s not writing. She can crochet three-dimensional objects without a pattern, but finds knitting way too complicated. She sings soprano in a choir and loves just about any type of music. Her publication credits include short stories, articles, comic interactive murder mystery plays and children’s books. Leslie lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband, three children and two cats.
