Ryan tried to die to protect Alex's secret, but Alex, unwilling to lose the man he loved turned him to save him. Ryan quickly embraced his new life as a vampire under Alex's guidance. A group of Elders, called The Council oversaw every aspect of vampire society and turning Ryan without their approval was an act punishable by death. Now Ryan must convince a Council of ancient and powerful vampires to show mercy and pardon Alex of his crime. If he fails, it would fall to Ryan to carry out Alex's death sentence.
