"The Beast with Five Fingers and Other Tales" is a collection of classical horror and mystery short stories by William Fryer Harvey (1885–1937). The title story "The Beast with Five Fingers" was made into a successful 1946 horror film with the same title, and in 1981 remade by Oliver Stone as "The Hand". The collection contains two additional Harvey's stories – "Across the Moors" and "August Heat".
