Sandie James
Author · 1 books

Sandie James writes Historical and Contemporary Romance. The biggest influence in her writing romance were her parents. Their love for each other showed her that true love is at times a battle. That you have to work hard to keep your marriage on track, but at the end of the day, if you believe in each other it is all worth the difficulties and your love will only grow stronger. At the age of fifteen, Sandie picked up her first Mills and Boon novel and fell in love with the heroes and heroines and their struggle to find happiness. Then she read Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice and was lost in the world of Historical Romance, never believing that one day she would find herself writing stories of long ago heroes and heroines. Her love of history started from an early age, when her father would tell her the stories of their ancestors coming to Australia from England, some as free settlers, others from the other side of the law. Sandie’s historical novels take her on adventures through Medieval England, Tudor, Elizabethan, Georgian, Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian Eras. From the golden sands of the coast to dry and dusty outback her contemporary romances bring to life the struggles her heroes and heroines in journey to find true happiness and everlasting love. There is really no other place a writer could find inspiration for contemporary romance than the place Sandie calls home Australia.
