Debra Lewis has been too busy with her studies to give much thought to interracial relations at Greenwood High...until kids start assuming she's romantically involved with her study partner, Steve Nowicki. Now, some of them have begun a campaign of harassment against Debra and Steve. Debra's best friend, Sharon Delaney, wants to devote an episode of Video High to racial tensions at school, but she's stalemated by the administration, who's afraid of stirring up more turmoil. Determined to get the issue out into the open, Sharon goes ahead and invites members of both sides to be on the show...as Video High gears up for an explosive on-the-air confrontation that will change the way everyone views free speech—and each other—forever!
