In the post-apocalyptic background of The Confession of St. Zach, Jacob Zachary attempts to protect his family while maintaining his idealistic sense of humanity in the face of increasing violence and a grim and daily deteriorating environment. Failing miserably, he struggles on in spite of terrible personal loss in his search for spiritual redemption.
