The Council of Dark Root
Armand
2015
Before Maggie Maddock and her sisters returned to Dark Root, a previous generation of witches and warlocks reigned over The Council: Thirteen men and women devoted to holding back the dark they believed would eventually end the world.
This is the origin story of Dark Root's most notable warlock: Armand. A natural magician, Armand uses his abilities to indulge in pleasurable pursuits with little regard for others. But when a beautiful woman, a skeletal ghost rider, and a powerful witch enter his life, Armand must choose between remaining alone or lending his talents to save the world.
This novella is a stand alone prequel to The Daughters of Dark Root Series.

The Witches of Dark Root
2012
Alternate cover edition of ASIN B00D6OUDDG
I am Maggie Maddock. Some call me a wilder - a woman with untamed magical powers. Others just call me a witch.
My childhood was spent dreaming of a world beyond my hometown of Dark Root - a world where I could be whatever I wanted to be, and not the coven-leader I was slated to become under the tutelage of my mother. When I finally got the opportunity to leave I jumped at it, never looking back.
Now, seven years later a call from my beloved sister forces me to return to Dark Root and I'm unprepared for what awaits me: a mother with a mysterious illness, a renewed sibling rivalry, and a town that's fallen into disrepair and has lost its magic.
I never wanted to be a witch but it seems I have no choice.
I only hope it's not too late to set things right again.

The Magick of Dark Root
2014
“There are rules that must be followed, Maggie.”
“Even in witchcraft?”
“Especially in witchcraft. What someone puts into the world comes back to them.”
“You mean karma?”
“Like karma, yes. But for a witch it comes back threefold. Never forget that.”
“That doesn’t seem fair.”
“Who said life was fair?”
In the second installment of The Daughters of Dark Root series, Maggie Maddock and her sisters are back, training under their coven-leading mother Miss Sasha Shantay to take over as the new leaders of The Council. But life isn’t as smooth as Maggie had hoped it would be. Harvest Home’s taxes have come due, and her mother’s illness has returned, stronger than ever.
Desperate, Maggie and Eve devise a scheme to make money through witchcraft.
And that’s when things go terribly wrong.

The Curse of Dark Root
Part One
2015
I inspected the small glass orb in my hand and read the words engraved upon its mantle: Dark Root, Oregon, 1968.
"Jillian, there's nothing inside," I said, shaking the globe.
“You must view it before you go to sleep. The memory it contains will come to you in your dreams.”
“What will I see?” I asked, staring deep into the crystal ball.
“Secrets, Maggie. Secrets that should have come out long ago.”
In the third installment of The Daughters of Dark Root series, Maggie's life is endangered by a malicious curse. Her only chance at saving herself and the life of her unborn child is to reveal the memories kept within a set of crystal globes. They alone hold the key to Dark Root’s secret past, and who she really is.
This book should be read after The Witches of Dark Root and The Magick of Dark Root. It is a complete novel with a larger story arc. Look for Part Two in Spring/Summer 2016.

The Shadows of Dark Root
2017
From The Wandering Witch (circa 1892)
In the beginning there was only darkness.
And then the Goddess, in her infinite wisdom, gave us light.
But in those moments when she separated the light from the darkness, she created shadow.
Formed by her divine hands, the shadow grew.
And grew.
Larger than our own world and without the limitations.
Though mortal eyes cannot see the shadow realm, it coexists alongside our own.
It is the realm of dreams and fantasy, of faerie and imp, demon and angel, nightmares and madness.
It is the bridge between the past, the present, and the future.
It is the divide between the living and the dead.
It is The Netherworld.
One gate opens to the next.
Beware!
Beware of the false lure of this shadow world.
For most who wander in, even witches, are never heard from again.
