The Whoopie Pie Affair

2012

WARNING, before you even consider reading this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and at times moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things. If you can get past the loud Hawaiian shirts, shorts, and glaring white knee socks and sandals then you can get to the meat and potatoes of what is coming at you. It is a diverse and respectful viewpoint of life, both in and out of the Amish community, and how the Plain Folk and English view each other. In Volume 1- The Whoopie Affair, meet G, the erstwhile suburban hitman, and Eli, the Amish blacksmith. Two totally different men. Two totally different families. Two entirely separate worlds. One destiny. What happens when this unlikely dynamic duo go about solving the mystery of the missing whoopie pies? Plenty of mirth, merriment, malevolence, and muck, but above all, good clean family fun. This is a story that can be read by anyone of any age, from 9 to 99. So saddle up, get in the SUV or horse and buggy, put on your wrap around shades, tighten up those suspenders, fix your ball cap or straw hat on top of your head, and get your sandals or boots on! It is time to roll and party with Eli the blacksmith and G the hitman in an adventure you are not soon to forget. You will never look at a horse and buggy the same way again.

Jelly, Marmalade and Yes We Are In A Jam!

2013

Questions abound about this story: \-Was Best-Selling author and the reigning Queen of Amish Christian Romance, Sarah Price, forcibly held against her will to be a co-author in this story? \-How did she type if her hands were duct taped behind her back and she was blindfolded? \-Were the words “stink eye” and “muck” used enough, or could they have been used more? \-Did one of the characters actually get “marmaladed” and were various fruits ill-treated in the making of the jam, jellies and preserves? \-Who stole the secret family recipes? This is just a taste; get it taste, of what you can expect from this story. How sweet is it really? This story is so sweet a person of any age can read this, have some fun, laugh, smile, and chuckle. That, my friends is what it is all about. Saddle up; Lititz will, never, ever be the same again. Put on your Hawaiian shirt and grab your sledgehammer; G and Eli are ready to roll.

Thanks For stopping by my Goodreads Page. I asked for advice a while back and one of the suggestions was for me to have an “About” tab-“Explain what you have going here”, they said. I thought not a bad idea, makes sense. The problem is, I can’t really define what I have going here. The blog takes in all manner of books, novel, novellas and short stories. The only thing I don’t really have here is erotic fiction; it makes me blush, sorry. Basically the idea then is to have fun; read just about anything by anyone, and help as many authors as I can: Traditionally published, Indie authors, and those that Self-Pub. I love them all. If you can, and want to, kick back, relax, go through my reading lists & posts. I think that you will find something here that may grab your attention, pique your interest, and spur you on to try a new author, maybe someone that you may not have tried otherwise. That would make me extremely happy. Helping readers to find new authors to read was my first goal in starting to do this. I love it when I hold a new find in my hands, a new world to be thrust into, and a new character to latch onto. Thanks for taking the time and stopping by. I love making new friends.
