WARNING, before you even consider reading this, understand that this is a story about a guy that is large, feels he is in charge, and is ready to kick some butt. In truth, he is essentially deaf, almost blind, socially handicapped and has little sense of smell to boot. Add to that his basic disregard for proper attire and you have one humorous, heartfelt, and at times moving story. Okay maybe not that heartfelt or moving, but it may all depend on how you look at things. If you can get past the loud Hawaiian shirts, shorts, and glaring white knee socks and sandals then you can get to the meat and potatoes of what is coming at you. It is a diverse and respectful viewpoint of life, both in and out of the Amish community, and how the Plain Folk and English view each other. In Volume 1- The Whoopie Affair, meet G, the erstwhile suburban hitman, and Eli, the Amish blacksmith. Two totally different men. Two totally different families. Two entirely separate worlds. One destiny. What happens when this unlikely dynamic duo go about solving the mystery of the missing whoopie pies? Plenty of mirth, merriment, malevolence, and muck, but above all, good clean family fun. This is a story that can be read by anyone of any age, from 9 to 99. So saddle up, get in the SUV or horse and buggy, put on your wrap around shades, tighten up those suspenders, fix your ball cap or straw hat on top of your head, and get your sandals or boots on! It is time to roll and party with Eli the blacksmith and G the hitman in an adventure you are not soon to forget. You will never look at a horse and buggy the same way again.

That is a recipe for fun on any holiday! G and Eli have become good friends. Through circumstances beyond their control, Eli comes to the city to celebrate Christmas with G’s family. Their story would not be complete without the right amount of chaos. Throw in a homeless man at the door, a bunch of hot food on wheels and Doctor Mike. This will be one Christmas you won’t forget. It is ultimately a story of humor and second chances.

It instantly became his dream and vision to put the cart before the horse. If anyone could make that dream a reality, it could only be Eli the blacksmith. The Sausage Log Implosion

“Muck is Muck,” Eli the Blacksmith says. How does the Defective Detective go from having a near perfect day to one of the worst? Simple – someone stole his sausage log. Everyone has something in life that makes them happy. For G, it is the culinary delights of the Amish, including whoopie pies and sausage logs. When his favorite market is sold out, G wants to know why. The charming, but innocent, counter girl tells him that the butcher’s meat grinder has been stolen. When something goes awry in Amish Country, G can’t let it go. He joins his stalwart companion Eli and the two of them are on the case. They have two questions to answer. What happened to the meat grinder? And, how much muck is too much muck? This is one explosive implosion!

The Hung Laundry Has a Stain

The hung laundry has a stain and, of course, there is only one man to get it clean. The Defective Amish Detective heads back to Lancaster County to solve a mystery that feels more like a set up for someone else's entertainment. He decides this one calls for a disguise. Under cover, complete with matching sandals over his socks, G meets up with the Amish blacksmith. Together, there is nothing that can stop them, so discovering the cause of the unusual stains and finding the culprit take no time. The only real question is how and when will G end up in the muck?

Thanks For stopping by my Goodreads Page. I asked for advice a while back and one of the suggestions was for me to have an “About” tab-“Explain what you have going here”, they said.
