TIME STANDS STILL On a visit to Cuff and Zain, Alice and the Duke are suddenly scouted by the ringmaster of the circus! The small Circus Gemini needs extra performers for their big show downtown. The Duke learns to juggle and Alice becomes an acrobat, but the real showstopper is Daleth, the head witch. She plans to get Zain's cooperation by any means necessary, and wants to force him to use his secret magical powers. When he rejects her, she sends her underlings to force him to do it by harming Cuff. Will Zain have to use his powers to save her life or will his friend the Duke save the day all on his own...?

Yasushi Inoue (井上靖) was a Japanese writer whose range of genres included poetry, essays, short fiction, and novels.
